Marine Electrician – FAQ
It is possible to have 240v on a boat, but it is not common. Most boats use 12v or 24v systems. If you want to install a 240v GPO system, it would need to be done by a qualified electrician. Though as a marine electrician we’re able to install inverters with built in 240v sockets.
